This Privacy Policy describes how Flockd ("we", "us", or "Flockd") collects, uses, and shares information when you install our Shopify application (the "App") on your Shopify store, or when you visit flockd.ai (the "Website"). Flockd is operated by Seventi AG, registered in Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland.

OpenAI — When you use Pulse, product names and brand identifiers are sent to OpenAI's API (using the GPT-4o-mini model) as part of prompts that test how AI engines describe your products. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy, which does not use API submissions to train their models. See OpenAI's privacy policy.
Perplexity — Pulse queries are sent to Perplexity's Sonar API to test brand visibility on Perplexity's platform. See Perplexity's privacy policy.
Anthropic — Pulse queries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to test brand visibility on Claude. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
Google (Gemini) — Pulse queries are sent to Google's Gemini API. See Google's privacy policy.
Resend — We use Resend to deliver transactional and weekly digest emails to the email address associated with your Shopify store. Resend processes only the recipient email address and the email content. See Resend's privacy policy.
Vercel — Our application is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes infrastructure data such as IP addresses for routing and security but does not have access to your store's product or order data. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Neon — We use Neon as our managed PostgreSQL database provider for storing your AI Readiness Scores, Pulse results, attributed orders, and configuration data. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. See Neon's privacy policy.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than delivering and improving the App.
We retain your data for as long as you have the App installed on your Shopify store, plus a 90-day grace period after uninstallation in case you wish to reinstall. After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems unless we are legally required to retain it.
You may request immediate deletion at any time by emailing support@flockd.ai.
Flockd complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We process Shopify customer data only as a Data Processor on behalf of you, the merchant (the Data Controller).
We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:
customers/data_request: When a customer requests their data, we forward the request to you, the merchant, who is the Data Controller.customers/redact: When a customer requests deletion of their data, we delete any data associated with that customer (limited to attributed order data) within 30 days.shop/redact: When a merchant uninstalls the App, we delete all shop-related data within 90 days.If you are a merchant subject to GDPR or CCPA, you remain responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers and for responding to data subject requests as the Data Controller.
Flockd is operated from Switzerland and complies with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), which came into force on September 1, 2023. The nFADP provides protections substantially equivalent to GDPR for Swiss residents and individuals whose data is processed in Switzerland.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
Flockd is operated from Switzerland. Our infrastructure providers (Vercel, Neon) operate globally. Data may be processed in the European Economic Area, the United States, and other regions where our service providers operate. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms to ensure adequate protection.

The flockd.ai marketing website may use minimal analytics cookies for understanding site traffic. The App itself, when running inside Shopify admin, does not set any tracking cookies on your storefront beyond what is necessary for OAuth session management.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to you via email or through the App.
